The Ukrainian Military Doesn't Have the Benefit of Air Power

Ukrainian military is structured around decisive use of land-based fires, with a very substantial artillery and long-range precision strike component. Western militaries are structured and funded such that air power constitutes a substantial percentage of their military power. The United States has effectively resourced for the first time in this fight, in providing the Ukrainian military a degree of superiority in artillery fires.
