From the first six episodes, there is a pretty clear theme emerging. That theme is learning to care for somebody else. So we've got Joel, the Pedro Pescale character. He's a guy who cares about others, but he's drawn away from them sometimes by things that feel really important in our world. Even though in the world that we know is coming, those things aren't going to be important at all.
