Do You Know if Failure Doesn't Happen in a Vacuum?
When you do studies on failure, it's very difficult to create a perfectly matched condition where the only thing differing between the groups is failure. Different proximities to failure interact with things like rest, subsequent sets, additional exercises, muscle damage, and subsequent session performance. And therefore, micro cycle and meso cycle to meso cycle may be even performance-enhancing for bodybuilders.
