Parsons: A Quiet Man
Parsons was a major force in sociology and he trained three generations of really well known scholars today. He never responded when he was attacked by other sociologists or his theories were attacked. His followers were sort of upset with him, you know, that he wouldn't engage and sort of defend his views. But he was,. he was a real gentleman, a very sweet man who took a lot of time with me.
