The most potent weapon that the platforms have is that they have this unique ability to decide what's visible and what's not visible. We need fact checking institutions, and to my taste, these fact checking institutions need to play a much bigger role. The question would become a repastit because people won't believe what we say is fact checked. If you get enough people together, they do fact check each other writes. Self regulation just won't work in that world.
