Alameda County estimates there's $120 million in back rent owed to landlords. "I want to lay immediately and evict the moral problem," says Supervisor Mark O'Mara. One landlord, George Wu, went on a hunger strike at the end of February because he says he's owed more than $120,000 in rent. He owns a triplex in San Leandro that is his primary source of income.
