You have to know all the different ways in which the symbols are used so that you don't accidentally invoke something you don't want, right? Mite so for instance, if you use black for a funeral, but you're in china, ye, be wrong. It also sounds like it allows you to somewhat skip the language as well, absolutel and the language can screw you up. Ah, so, you know, this is the sort of thing that you want to look at when you're thinking symbolically. So you want to really just absorb as much as you can about the symbology of different things.
