How I Got Started in Open Source With Django REST Framework

I was building iOS apps for in a freelance environment, an agency environment and clients needed an API to go. And so I was like, well, I can build the back end and looking for some tool which enabled me to build API with Django. Tom Christie, who was the creator of Django REST framework, he came on the mailing list one day and he's like, look, and he'd help. There's too many issues to triage. The mailing list is too hard. You know, I just did my bit.
