In the laptop orchestra we have computers, humans and hemispherical speaker arrays. They're made out of 11-inch diameter wooden salad bowls with holes drilled into them. The sound that the computer is making comes out locally to where it's being played. But the physical playing is tapping on the keyboard of the laptops. To date we've designed more than probably 200 different instruments.
