The pressures of working in industry often leads to not worrying so much about numbers. But tools for getting at quantitative data have improved greatly over the last 10 years. I see it as a rising topic within the field. A lot of people are drifting towards, I want to learn more about human behavior when they go towards analytics and statistics.
