Skipton's No Deposit Mortgage
It's impossible for me to save a deposit at the moment. I am spending every penny of my salary on bills rent and making sure the people who live with me are looked after. Skipton announced that their intention to actually release this mortgage onto the market a few weeks ago. So it does work, as you say, it doesn't work like a guarantor mortgage. It is allowing anyone who can prove that they have been successful with paying rent for at least 12 months. They don't have or have very little deposit to put down and they've never owned a home. That would make home ownership more possible for a lot of people.
