Psychologist Dacker says it's possible to deliberately cultivate more awe in our lives. Over time, he has developed a kind of practice that he still does today. When I walk places, I look at trees, I stop and touch them. Look at one cloud and then look at the system of clouds that they're part of. And then you can apply it to cooking or being with friends as well.
Awe is what takes our breath away when we face a sky full of stars or listen to a moving piece of music. But scientists are still trying to pin down why we feel such a powerful emotion, and whether it’s possible to cultivate more of it in our lives.
