Physical Theatre - It's Far Older Than Verbal Language
In human beings, the physical acting out of stories is far older than verbal language. We have to act out everything in the environment we have to be able to take on the shape of the mountain and with our bodies become the shape of a trail down the mountain. With our bodies and our voices we have to become the shape and the movements of the goanna and the tree that the goanna went up. This is the primary means of communication for the human species still and it always has been. It's not about words but taking on shapes and movements to tell a story.
