David Wheeler: I'm reluctant to reduce things to algorithms. That usually sucks the creativity out of the picture and makes it wrong. If you can't program any kind of information process, then you haven't understood it. But finding out what those are is not a matter of programming anything. It's a matter of creativity and problem solving. He says he finds the K paintings of Altamara and Lasko to be beautiful because they're humankind speaking to us from 30,000 years ago. The hardest one for him personally is aesthetics.
