The Differences Between Browsers
The browser can't do anything until it has the first part of the HTML to start discovering and requesting the other resources. This is why you have something like preload, right? To tell the browser, I know this will be needed in the future, even though it's not visible yet. The solution we thought was going to be the solution with HTTP2 was indeed server push. That's where the name comes from - as well as that didn't go as fast as expected.
