When you moved to London, that was the end of it. I just never went near a church again. I felt exhausted by the whole religious enterprise. You were setting out on this series with the goal of debunking religion. Is that fair? Yes, absolutely. People started writing to me after my first series on St. Paul and saying now they felt they could go back to church. And I thought, well, how? What did you do? What did I do wrong?I mean, haven't I? Conclusively shown that in fact these teenets of Christianity are not true?"
