The velshe band book club takes on salmon rushti's most controversial novel, the satanic verses. The two men who were allegedly willing to kill him over it reportedly only read two pages of the book. Fundamentalists, whether moslem or christian, often allow offence to lead to violence. Moslem theocracies and fundamental theologians need to contend with how they are going to handle portrayals of their faith within literature,. art and every form of expression.
