Do Not Resuscitate Orders for COVID-19 Patients?

Are there situations where doctors can write DNR orders for COVID-19 patients even without the consent of the patient or the patient's family? Dr. Meany: There are two issues that I've heard of regarding DNRs and uh patient suffering from CO VID-19 that I think are of interest or present some unique ethical questions. The other issue though has to do just with the ethics of doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, especially on patients with COvid-19or you know who's going to do that.
