Dr. Kosey: I'm lucky enough to get to say we did this study. However, as it goes in collaborative science, especially when you are the PI of a lab, it is the folks in the lab doing the work,. Right? And working with other researchers and undergraduate research assistants to make it happen. So what Jessica Cossie did with this interest in infant directed communication is she just wanted to record natural interactions between parents and infants. She sent out emails to parents in our participant database here in New Jersey and said, hey, can we just record you using Zoom for a little while and just play with your kid as you normally would?"
