Dominic cell is a diminutive Latin form of noble woman. Andra Dreyusi suggests it's a potential Latin pun, because dominant celli would be plural for that. So, dominant celli could potentially be a pun conflating a group of noble women and priestess of the sanctuaries. It seems like she has knowledge beyond her means.
