The Return of Inequality
In the 70s and 80s, there still was possible to have that notion of we are on some kind of progressive journey. But when the position of 2023, I think that's really difficult now to maintain that view. We haven't got a degree of consensus yet around inequality. Some people don't think it's a big problem to fix even. It's a minor issue or not even not an issue at all. So, as you can see, sadly, in recent years my thinking has got much more pessimistic than before.
