The Importance of Conservation in Guyana
Annette Arjun runs the Guyana Marine Conservation Society. She shared some similarly contradictory views while we were walking around her neighborhood near the coast in Georgetown. This idea that oil is obviously not great for the environment, but what's done is done and they may as well use the oil money to further conservation efforts.
