The Importance of Prophecy

The phrase "for the sake of David since he had promised him" is used over and over again. In this case, God was telling David to be a true worshiper of Yahweh. It's not about goodness or righteousness but that David who except for them in the matter of Uriah the hit time was not an idolature.
