Introduction

Philosophy and art show different ways of coming to terms with a planetary crisis. Planetarity is playing an increasingly prominent role in the arts, humanities and social sciences. It has recently been used as a call to responsibility and action. The planet is big now, not like literally although that as well, but also as a concept with which we are invited to think about ourselves - our own size and our own responsibility too.
