The Seven Years of Famine

Joseph is elected to be governor of the land and he's second only to Pharaoh himself. And you can read about this in Genesis chapter 41, verse 54, that famine begins. The patriarchs all died in Egypt, never seeing the promised land but their bones were taken to Shechem which is in the promised land. They saw it through faith. It did not come to fruition for them but ultimately they were buried there.
