The only thing that can prevent, let's say, a spaceship from Earth reaching something a hundred light years away is the question whether we want to do this. We may decide not to, in which case we won't do it. But the issue of whether a spaceship can get there is a matter of what we decide to do. In our next episode, I talk with David Deutsch, a physicist and personal hero of mine. He talks mostly about knowledge and why he believes its power is unlimited.
