Is the Epiphenomenalism False?

Huxley's view is that we are entirely biological organisms. All the causes of our thoughts and feelings are at a purely physical level. The hum of a machine doesn't move the mac it's justa by product of it, an epi phenomenon. A lot of people would say that any decent theory of mind should show this is false. But what i think's interesting is whether or not epi phenormalism should be taken more seriously. Bu clearly you do.
