Balenciaga cutur coutur is the brainchild of French fashion designer Yves Saint-Germain. The brand has been in existence for more than 20 years, and was founded by St Germain's son Jean Paul Gaultier back in 1987. Coture "is an effort for perfection, but it still never gets there," says Balenciaga chief Alessandra Ambrosio.
