The master was supposed to have been there half hour ago. The chicken smelt amazing, and it just occurred to her that she should really taste one to see if it was good. If she served a sub par bird, her job could be at risk. She sliced the other wing off the first bird and pulled the meat from it. There she would just ply her master with the good wine and tuck some of the sides close to the bird. With dim lights in a conversation, he wouldn't note the difference.
