Is Wokism a Romantic Movement?

A question from new york city. To what extent is wokism a romantic movement? A lot of young people learn about the civil rights movement and want to have a part in that great struggle. I think they are almost antithetical to one another. It's extremely depressing to me that a mccarthar genius award has just been given to ibraham kendy, whose objective appears to be to relegitimize racism on a kind of tip for tap basis. And i think it's doing great harm, not least in our universities by giving rise to a profoundly illiberal state of mind.
