When to Use HTMLX and When to Not Use It

The hypermedia approach is great in situations when you want to minimize complexity. It's a simpler model than managing a bunch of complex front end and back end state after synchronize one another. But if you have a highly dependent UI where the UI dependencies aren't sort of enclosed in a natural hierarchy of elements on a screen, then HTMLX isn't going to be a good approach. The reality is that React is the standard today.
