Are You a Relativist?

I worry that Putnam was not a relativist about morality, but I worry that it sounds like he is. So if you're saying that we shouldn't judge Aristotle as a racist because in his time, people were all racists and we shouldn'tJudge him as supporting slavery because everyone did then. They're not really does sound like relativism. We just think that the rational discussion is a root to help us perhaps get closer to the truth. It's better than no discussion. But we don't think that the discussion itself constitutes the truth.
