The Theory of Moral Sentiments

In graduate school, I read this book by Adam Smith called The Theory of Moral Sentiments. That suggested to me that there was a kind of marriage between empirical and factual study of the world. And looking for a union of those two things has been what's driven almost all of my work throughout my career.
