The Book of Genesis Reflects the Period of the Monarchy

Wrenzberg argues that the motivation for writing Genesis was specifically the reigns of David and Solomon, which are about the 10th century. He also says it reflects a much later time going into the post-exilic period after Israelites returned from exile in 539 BCE.
