Is It a Glacier That's Melting?
Ice is forming and unforming, and it's a very dynamic process. The processes that govern it also are not superintuitive about the nature of their impact. In an ideal world, if we were to monitor and understand these systems, well they are changng on this sort of daily to monthly to annual, o decada scales. And so there's these myriad of interacting phenomenon that can make it a highly, i guess, non linear prediction task, if you're trying to predict.
