Translations

Jve is fluent in a couple of languages, and would prefer to read in the original language. When it comes to actual translations, i think pitian volkonsky's are very cute. They've translated over 30 works of russian literature. But i actually do prefer the constance garnet translations - you can get them in every man ditions. And if you want to hear stephen fryt reading tchekov, you'll have to go out and buy an ancient greek book. So what sort of translation does Jve like best? Do you have any recommendations for me?
