How Does the Tool Work in the Early Church?
Modern scholars are using different types of literary critical tools or historical critical tools to try to figure out the same answers. Tyler was just up here for a seminar we did, and he kind of refreshed, he went over Kevin Rose concept that the most important question in exegete needs to ask is how? Is there some type of structure by which they cohere? Can we put those two together in a way that fosters and enables understanding? In one sense theology gets arbitrarily ruled out ahead of time, whereas exegesis is always aiming at answering some type of how question.
