As models get smaller, and their domains become increasingly specified, people will start being more intelligent about what data they curate to actually train them. And that is what's going to enable some of these like edge, real time, low cost solutions. I guess you could also imagine a world where there's sort of one best open source model that everybody uses. But it might be hard to imagine the huge compute cost getting footed by someone who doesn't see a return there.
