The £1 Million Spent on a Lime Mortar Project in the Summer of 2022
The summer of 2022 was a record breaker. The Met Office said that the UK has hit an air temperature above 40 degrees Celsius which is 104 Fahrenheit. So did this prolonged extreme heat affect the materials, the ability to work on sites and any deadlines? It's a key question really. I mean that's a long answer isn't it? But hopefully people can understand why this £1 million was spent because there was so much preparation work involved. And physical work of lugging all this material up into the different levels of the scaffold and throwing it onto the stonework. Fundamentally with lots of different things to manage.
