Taking Up Maintainership in Open Source
Many projects are left unmaintained, or even if they're really important in the ecosystem. In a lot of those cases, i've offered to take up maintainership. If people notice that you end u fixing a lot of bugs, why don't you start maintaining ito? I collected more than a few maintainers bits by doing that and i'm now a cor developer on quite a few of those projects.
