Pooja: Yaeji's lyrics tend to be more diffuse, they're not like super pointed just because of the way that she thinks. She was thinking a lot about how the diaspora lives in community and solidarity with Black Americans. And I think that there is an implicit connection in bringing those elements like jungle that connect what she is making with the sociopolitical environments that birthed those types of sounds and club music.
