The Costs and Benefits of Coercive Behavior in China

The measures that China uses to coerce others do come at a cost to people in China. People like going on packaged stores to South Korea, and now they can't or it's heavily discouraged. And so the way I think about it is it's a little bit like you're going on a hunger strike. The Chinese government essentially imposing a hunger, very low cost hunger strike but still a hunger strike on the Chinese people.
