Is It Ground Truth or Gold Data?
We're using a programmatic interface to automatically label large amounts of data. This is in contrast to a strongly supervised approach, where we would be handling each item. The term ground truth or gold data gets thrown around a lot. It just means humans looked at it. So our whole thing is we shouldn't use the term ground truth unless it's inherent in the data.
