Rana Joy Sen is a senior research fellow at the Institute of South Asia Studies. His new book is called House of the People Parliament and the Making of Indian Democracy. The scholar Pratabh Bhanometa calls it a "rich, historically nuanced and engagingly written account" He says coalition governments are messy by very nature because various parties come together with different ideas.
