The Spot Price of Gas Isn't What Sets Our Household Bills
The price for gas that can be bought and delivered the next day has fallen. Retail companies who supply gas to our homes don't generally buy gas on the spot market. It's the price for longer term gas contracts that set household bills. But isn't there a bigger problem here? We've been talking about changes in household bills, but the price of energy has been capped for households for two years. That was the whole point of liz trust's energy price guarantee,. wasn't it? Th the price we pay for our energy isn't going to be changing anyway.
