The Infrasound Effect

Vic saw an indistinct human like figure moving about in his peripheral vision, but when he turned to face it, it disappeared. The hair was standing up on vick's neck, and there was a distinct chill in the room. He eventually identified the source of the infr sound as a new industrial fan that had been installed. When he turned off the fan, the standing wave vanished.
