What Is the Current Neuro Science of Causal Inference?
I don't even know what the a current neuro science of causality is like. I think very little is known about thethe underlying nerobiology. There's an additional structure over and above the correlational structure that, for example, might be represented by something like a directed graph or a set of structural equations. And this isn't just a matter of the representation of correlations. This has implications for designing a machine that will engage in a successful a causal inference or learning. It's not going to be a machine that just a, represents patterns of association. But there seems to be something on top of that that is apparently essential to a a successful causal cognition.
