Technology and Science Are Fascinating
Every one of these technological and scientific advances that we used to be so thrilled about, every one of them is a double edged sword. So if you look at it just as happy to have it slowed down. I haven't read much science fiction in decades because it's all just dystopian and depressing. But there's a deep reason, almost at the level of the reptile brain, something so deep that we don't often talk about it and aren't often perhaps even conscious of it.
