The Argument for Intelligent Design Theorists
Dawkins seems to be saying that the final cause of the human person as a whole is happiness. On this, Dawkins will get no argument from Thomas Aquinas who affirms that "Man's last and his happiness" One need not believe in God to recognize as Dawkins does that human beings by nature order towards happiness. The way in which intelligent design theorists conceive of God's creative power and action concedes far too much to naturalism they want to defeat.
