I don't think Alex Jones is doing that. But I think that he actually believes it. That's what makes him slightly different from somebody like Andrew Tate, who on balance is probably kind of over-regging things because he knows they'll be controversial. He was more important to spread what he believed to be true about these 9-11 conspiracies rather than have popularity as a media personality. And sure enough, that was one of his early attempts at monetizing cookiness.
